A Word from the Editors

As Henry James so eloquently (and wisely) said, “Summer afternoon, summer afternoon; to me, those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”

We couldn’t agree more. The warmth of the sun, the scent of freshly cut grass, and the azure sky all have the power to brighten our days. Whether you sprawl out on your beach towel with a novel, write a story in your backyard, or snap photos of your travels, the summer season can re-ignite your creative spirit.

With warm days upon us, we are proud to kick off the summer season with the latest issue of Origami Journal, full of wonderful stories and beautiful photography and digital art.

We are also excited to announce that beginning with our next issue, Origami Journal will be moving to a bi-annual publishing calendar. By combining our Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer issues, we will be able to feature “la creme de la creme” in storytelling and photography/digital art in two larger publications that allow us to showcase our contributors in a more succinct way. We hope you’ll stay tuned as Origami continues to evolve.

A special thank you to all contributors featured in this issue. We are delighted to share your work with the world.

We wish you a healthy and inspiring summer.
